Finally the moment is there…. With great pride I present to you the Zuiver Albert Kuip chair! The first moulded chair in our collection. The seat with curvy lines immediately grabs your attention, but don’t underestimate the wooden base.

The past 18 months are marked by our close collaboration with Amsterdam-based design studio APE. Together with them we designed and developed Albert Kuip chair. Our brief for APE was: ‘Design a moulded chair that perfectly fits our Zuiver DNA’. I must admit, they pulled it off. I absolutely love this chair!

Albert Kuip at Maison & Objet 2016

Last week Maison & Objet 2016 was held in Paris. The place where we introduced Albert Kuip to branche professionals. To make the chair’s presentation outstanding we created a four meter wide banner. I am glad it’s welcomed with a lot of enthusiasm! The interest was really overwhelming and heartwarming.

One of the most frequent comments was about the excellent comfort. The slightly flexible back rest makes this possible. This chair is just so comfortable you do not even need a seat cushion. Can you imagine that the French words ‘très comfortable’ sounded through the stand the entire day?

Albert Kuip chair is available in trendy powdery colours. Colours we have added to our entire new collection. Besides powdery colours, Albert Kuip is also available in white and dark grey. The aluminium connecting piece ensures a strong connection between the moulded seat and base frame. The base is made of solid ash wood which gives a warm feeling.

Albert Kuip chair is available with and without armrests. But don’t you worry, they’re both most comfortable! We’ve made the armrests wide for even more comfort. Also, as we designed Albert Kuip as a dining room chair, the armrests will fit under virtually any table.

I am very curious to know what you think of Albert Kuip chair! Do you already have a favourite colour?
